Annual Friends Over Texas National Event

6th Annual Friends over Texas Event will be held in San Antonio, Texas. The Friends over Texas event began in 2003 when members from the 4 major Texas Groups (Austin, San Antonio, Dallas and Houston) joined together to host our first gathering. We have toured Texas once and are on our second round this year being hosted in San Antonio, Texas. Whether this is your first National Event or your 20th, you are sure to have a lot of fun, meet great people and leave with a smile. We had right around 175 people at our event last year in Austin Texas and hope to have at least that many or more for 2008’s event. 2008 Friends over Texas event is being hosted at the Crockett Hotel Downtown San Antonio. Help Wanted:

Our services are run by volunteers and can only function with their help. There are a lot of people out there who need us, but we can't help them without you. Volunteers are needed at LAHelp! We need your help in various parts of our organization. We also could use your assistance in planning and organizing the monthly meetings, groups, editors, movie dinner events on the Westside, Valley and South Bay areas! We also have an urgent need for someone who can help us get printed material in Braille for our friends who are sight impaired. They really need our support. This is one of our most critical area's as there is little if nothing out there for them.

With your help, we can help so many more. Put your talents to work for a worthy cause. Think of the difference you can make to bring some hope to others who's lives have been turned upside down. You don't have to have herpes to be a volunteer, just a good heart and a will to see others get back on their feet. They need you and We need you! Please?
